Petra Royal Tombs — Palace Tomb

The last of the Royal Tombs is the biggest. The Palace Tomb is particularly wide, has three distinct stories in its facade, and like the Corinthian Tomb, it is not in excellent condition. A lot of the carving is worn or broken away in places. There is a large stage in front of the tomb and it has been suggested that it served as a backdrop for State funerals.
