(The fertile Hulah Valley north of Galilee)
From its
sources the Dan, Hatzbani, and Banias streams, the Jordan River flows through
the Hulah Valley and the Sea of Galilee via the Jordan Valley, spilling into
its end, the Dead Sea. The northern part of the Jordan Valley is lush and
fertile with citrus and mango groves, orchards, and fishponds. The southern end
of the valley becomes increasingly barren until it reaches the Judean desert,
the Negev.
