Domus Galilaeae [The House of the Galilee] is a meeting place, primarily used for Christian seminars and conventions. It is located atop the Mt. of Beatitudes, north of Capernaum and the Sea of Galilee. An inscription in the lobby reads: “The Lord was waiting for you on this mountain.”

The corner stone was laid in 1999. The site was constructed speedily, and opened in 2000. It was inaugurated by Pope John Paul II on his Millennium visit to the Holy Land.
